Carrots are taking too long to germinate and ripen. I usually interplanting them with other vegetables. In this particular bed I planted carrots together with radishes and turnips in the same rows. Another advantage is that radishes and turnips are breaking the soil for the carrots to grow into. Between the rows of carrots I planted garlic and a couple of kales. In the picture of the garden bed I am talking about, you can see me with my outfit that I tried to recreate Gavroche style with preloved clothes.
